Class Policy
Registration
Advance registration is strongly recommended to secure a student’s place in class and to ensure that the class will run. Enrollment is limited and accepted on a first-paid basis. Registrations will not be processed without payment. A minimum enrollment is required. In addition, a maximum enrollment exists to ensure the quality of the student’s experience. Only fully paid registrations will be considered enrolled. By delaying payment, individuals run the risk of being wait-listed or classes being canceled due to insufficient enrollment.
Code of Conduct
Students and assistants are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is not disruptive to the learning environment. Electronic devices for personal use are not permitted in the classroom, unless directly related to classwork, such as gathering or sharing reference materials.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Participants who withdraw from a class/workshop must request a refund or credit more than 14 days prior to the start of the class/workshop in order to receive a full refund or credit (minus a $20 cancellation fee or 10% for one-day workshops).
Participants who cancel a registration between 8 and 14 days prior to the start of the class/workshop may receive a 50% refund or credit.
Participants who cancel a registration 7 days or less prior to the start of a class or workshop will not receive a refund or credit for any reason.
FVAC does not offer prorating for classes, and there are no make-ups, credits or refunds if a student misses a class or workshop.
Membership fees are non-refundable.
THIRD PARTY PURCHASE PROTECTION
At the time of registration, you may choose to purchase Purchase Protection for an additional fee. Purchase Protection is an optional third-party refund service provided by Purchase Protection LLC. If you are unable to attend a class due to a qualifying unforeseen circumstance, Purchase Protection may provide a 100% refund of your eligible registration fees, taxes, and dues, subject to the Purchase Protection terms and conditions. Purchase Protection is intended primarily for qualifying unforeseen circumstances that occur shortly before the class, generally within 7 days before the class begins. Covered circumstances may include certain medical emergencies, death, transportation or weather-related events, certain employment or legal obligations, and other qualifying circumstances as defined by Purchase Protection LLC. Not all reasons for cancellation are covered.

It is separate from FVAC's cancellation policy, and FVAC does not administer Purchase Protection claims or issue refunds under the protection plan. Claims must be submitted directly to Purchase Protection LLC and are subject to its eligibility requirements, documentation requirements, and claim deadlines.
If you purchase Purchase Protection, please review the complete terms and conditions provided by Purchase Protection LLC before completing your registration. If you do not purchase Purchase Protection, FVAC's cancellation and refund policy above applies.
Inclement Weather Policy

Full payment is required at the time of registration in any of the following ways:
•Credit card
•Cash or Checks (there will be a fee of $20 for returned checks)

Class Levels
Unless otherwise noted, classes are open to all and recommended for beginner to intermediate levels. Children should be enrolled within their age groups. Teenagers (16+) are welcome to join adult classes. The Education Staff is happy to field other questions about the appropriateness of any class.
Publicity Waiver
Unless Education Staff is notified in writing, enrollment indicates that the student or legal guardian of the student grants permission to FVAC for use of photographs and/or images of artwork and/or students for FVAC educational, publicity, archival, or grant purposes. These images will be in print, media, or broadcast formats. Written requests denying this permission must be given on or before the first day of class.
